MERJE, a leading name in the property and construction industry, is on the lookout for a qualified professional to fill the role of Senior Financial Operations Manager within one of its prominent and successful divisions.
In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Finance Director, playing a crucial part in driving the overall success of the organization by assisting in the effective management of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of precise and reliable monthly forecasts and contribute to the development of three to five-year strategic business plans.
- Oversee the finance department to ensure its smooth and efficient operation.
- Participate in valuation and assessment meetings, providing a necessary level of scrutiny.
- Assist with financial management and reporting as needed.
- Facilitate payment and payroll processes to guarantee timely and accurate service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with the Group Accounts Manual regarding cash management, managing all activities within the cash budgets.
- Prepare and present reports to the Managing Director and Board, adhering to the established format and schedule, including the preparation of Finance Board reports and presentations.
- Engage in various ad hoc projects across divisions and departments as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professionally qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience in a senior commercial accounting position, preferably within the house building, construction, or infrastructure sectors, though candidates from other industries will also be considered.
- Experience with COINS Software is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management and cost control.
- Exceptional numerical skills with strong IT and financial analysis capabilities, able to interpret data effectively and provide constructive challenge to maintain financial controls.
