About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior YouTube Channel Manager to join our team at UpStream Media Ltd. As a key member of our digital media team, you will be responsible for managing and curating social channels across multiple brands, utilizing audience development strategies to maximize content exposure and value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Curation: Run and curate social channels across multiple brands, utilizing audience development strategies to maximize content exposure and value.
  • Content Optimization: Identify opportunities to maximize content exposure and value, presenting content in a way that stops thumbs and catches eyes.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Regularly use analytics data to improve content performance, with the ability to react quickly to any platform changes.
  • Content Sourcing and Editing: Sourcing, editing, and curating content from an extensive library, repurposing existing content for different platforms to help build the brands.
  • Content Creation: Writing engaging copy that aligns with SEO best practices and brand guidelines, ensuring weekly upload schedules are adhered to.
  • Community Engagement: Engaging with the community, subscriber base, and chat moderation, creating additional thematic video compilations and channel artwork.
  • Research and Development: Researching trending topics and YouTube algorithms, ensuring the value of IP is maximized either through protection or monetization.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience with YouTube channel management, with a keen interest in viral and social media.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail with impeccable spelling and grammar, strong communication skills, and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Pro, knowledge of different video formats, video compression, sound/video synchronization.
