We are seeking a Lead Social Media Content Creator to become a vital part of the Bauer Media Group team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and produce social media content for one of the UK's leading radio networks. As a Lead Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for strategizing and crafting digital content that embodies the essence of our brand, engaging with our audience of discerning listeners.

You will collaborate closely with our morning show team to generate vibrant online content that reflects the show's character and resonates with our listeners. Additionally, you will partner with the broader on-air team to promote and enhance station initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Social Media, you will play a central role in our social media strategy, producing and curating content that fosters engagement and expands the reach of our brand.

A solid understanding of our music offerings is essential, as you will need to distinguish between various artists and genres.

Your role will involve working with various departments across the organization, including Marketing, Programming, Music, and Commercial. This position is ideal for a creative professional with robust digital content expertise and a keen insight into what captivates audiences on social media.

This is a hands-on production position, and we are looking for someone who can conceptualize and execute ideas independently. You should be confident and proactive in presenting innovative ideas and building collaborative relationships with both our presenters and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the morning show team to brainstorm and create engaging social media concepts that reflect the show's entertaining atmosphere.
  • Producing captivating social media content, including videos, graphics, images, and written posts tailored to our audience.
  • Monitoring and analyzing social media trends and audience behaviors to ensure our online presence remains relevant and effective.
  • Engaging with our audience across all social media platforms, responding to interactions in a timely and professional manner, maintaining our brand's tone of voice.
  • Managing social media content calendars to ensure consistent and timely postings.
  • Assisting the Head of Social Media with daily planning and larger projects, and stepping in during their absence.
  • Collaborating with the wider network team on station initiatives and commercial projects.
  • Mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style.
  • Working at events and live posting on social media platforms as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management with a strong understanding of the digital landscape, particularly in creating engaging content for various platforms, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Proficient in shooting and filming content on mobile devices, with confidence in directing and briefing presenters and guests.
  • Positive attitude towards presenting ideas and tackling challenges.
  • Organized, collaborative, and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of all social media platforms and experience in content planning and scheduling.
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and similar applications.
  • Ability to design social media graphics and thumbnails using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Confident in writing social media copy that reflects our brand's voice.
  • Knowledge of contemporary and classic rock and indie music is essential.
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for radio, music, and comedy.
