Lead Social Media Content Creator

We are seeking a Lead Social Media Content Creator to become an integral part of the Bauer Media Group team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and produce engaging social media content for one of the UK's leading radio networks. As a Lead Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for strategizing and crafting digital content that embodies the essence of our brand, collaborating with presenters, artists, and notable guests to connect with our audience of discerning listeners.
You will partner closely with the morning show team to generate vibrant online content that captures the spirit of the program and resonates with our listeners. Additionally, you will collaborate with the broader on-air team to enhance and promote station activities.
Reporting to the Head of Social Media, you will play a pivotal role in our social media strategy, producing and curating content that fosters engagement and expands the reach of our brand.
A solid understanding of our music programming is essential, as you will need to differentiate between various artists and genres.
You will work alongside other departments, including Marketing, Programming, Music, and Commercial. This position is ideal for a creative individual with robust digital content skills and a profound understanding of audience engagement on social media platforms.
This is a hands-on role, and we are looking for someone who can conceptualize and execute ideas independently. You should demonstrate confidence and initiative in presenting innovative concepts and be capable of building collaborative relationships with both presenters and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the morning show team to brainstorm and create imaginative social media content that reflects the show's engaging and humorous atmosphere. Develop and produce captivating social media content, including videos, graphics, photos, and written posts tailored to our audience. Monitor and analyze social media trends, audience behaviors, and platform updates to ensure our social media presence remains relevant and effective. Engage with our audience across all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, maintaining our brand's tone of voice. Manage the social media content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely posting. Assist the Head of Social Media with daily planning and larger projects, stepping in during their absence. Collaborate with the wider network team on station initiatives and commercial projects. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style. Participate in out-of-hours events, live posting on social media platforms and creating content on the go, as needed.What You Bring:
Proven experience as a social media professional with a strong grasp of the digital landscape, particularly in creating engaging, optimized content for various platforms, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. Comfortable capturing and filming content on mobile devices, as well as confident in directing and briefing presenters and guests. Positive attitude and proactive approach to presenting ideas and overcoming challenges. Organized, collaborative, and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. In-depth knowledge of all social media platforms and experience in planning and scheduling content across them. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and content creation apps. Ability to design social media graphics using Adobe Photoshop. Strong copywriting skills, capable of writing in our brand's tone of voice. A passion for contemporary and classic rock and indie music is essential. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
