Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Receptionist/Patient Coordinator to join our team at Priory Surgery. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage front desk operations, and ensure the smooth running of medical sessions and clinics.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive reception service to patients, healthcare professionals, and other agencies.
- Triage and navigate patients to appropriate appointments or services.
- Manage the main reception area, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.
- Oversee the smooth running of GP sessions and other clinics, utilizing computerized systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 GCSE passes or equivalent, including Math and English.
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills.
- Demonstrable communication skills.
- Familiarity with data protection and confidentiality principles.
- Ability to use own judgment, resourcefulness, and common sense.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team.
- Pleasant and articulate demeanor.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment.
- Flexibility in working hours and ability to work at desired times.
- Reliability, punctuality, and good organization.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of EMIS clinical computer systems.
- Understanding of all aspects of health and safety.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working as a receptionist or in a customer service environment.
- Understanding of the day-to-day functions of general practice.
- Previous experience working in an NHS environment.
- Experience in primary care.
