About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Adult SALT team as a Clinical Lead for our specialist voice service. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, developing, and delivering a high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy service for trans and gender diverse patients accessing our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide highly specialist speech and language therapy services for specified clients, assessing their needs and providing programs and resources that are reviewed and updated regularly.
  • Evaluate clients' needs to provide effective support at the right time, prioritizing the caseload according to recently reviewed literature and clinical effectiveness guidelines.
  • Support colleagues within and outside of speech and language therapy, including providing student placements.
  • Develop and lead a team of speech and language therapists to provide high-quality services to trans and gender diverse patients.
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • HCPC - Licence to Practice.
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses up to Master's degree equivalent.
  • Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups.
  • Relevant experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
  • Demonstrable relevant experience post-qualification, evidence of working as a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist.
  • In-depth experience within specialist area.
