About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Clinical Lead for our Specialist Voice Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, developing, and delivering a high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy service for trans and gender diverse patients accessing our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive speech and language therapy service for trans and gender diverse patients, including assessment, treatment, and evaluation of outcomes.
  • Lead a team of Speech and Language Therapists in the delivery of the service, providing clinical supervision and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including other healthcare providers and community organizations, to promote the service and ensure seamless referrals.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to the service, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection and analysis, to ensure the service is meeting its goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Experience working with trans and gender diverse populations, including assessment, treatment, and evaluation of outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership working.
