Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to work in an exceptional care home based in the Liverpool, Merseyside area.

About the Role:

This care home provides specialist rehabilitation care for people with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or progressive neurological conditions (PNCs). As a Speech and Language Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and generating strategies to support service users.
  • Demonstrating specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Contributing to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users' mental capacity and ability to give informed consent with support from senior colleagues.
  • Assisting service users to maximise their independence in decision-making and communicating their wishes.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC. The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
  • Experience of working with families.
  • Evidence of continuing Professional Development.
  • Able to show a can-do attitude always.
  • Specialist clinical knowledge and experience in Adult Neuro-rehab.
What We Offer:
