Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing communication skills for children and young people, and contribute to shaping innovative services in SEN education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to children, directly and through support to their families and the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Conduct speech, language and communication assessments for pupils/prospective pupils in consultation with the multi-disciplinary team and other SLTs and SLTAs.
  • Keep accurate records and provide written reports.
  • Set targets for therapy and monitor progress.
  • Provide intervention on an individual or group basis as required.
  • Develop and demonstrate SLT programs and groups for pupils.
  • Hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
  • Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the planning, development and delivery of an effective and efficient service.
Requirements:
  • Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Degree or Masters.
  • Registration with RCSLT and HCPC.
  • At least 2+ years' experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist with children with SLCN, complex needs, their families and the Multi-agency team.
  • Preferably worked with children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • Preferably experience using AAC including signing and communication boards.
