About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Gilks (Nantwich) Ltd. As a key member of our SHEQ department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve our QHSE management systems to ISO standards, including setting annual objectives and reviewing policies and procedures.
  • Complete SHEQ reports, site inspections, and attend regular client and company meetings.
  • Maintain records of health and safety documents, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Assist in producing, maintaining, and amending risk assessment method statements (RAMS).
  • Complete inductions and various risk assessments.
  • Review sub-contractor RAMS and assist with new supplier/sub-contractor pre-approval information.
  • Complete Face Fit and PAT testing, and organize the calibration of equipment, maintaining records and certifications.
  • Assist with training where required, including Toolbox Talks, ECS, and more detailed packages.
Requirements
  • Experience gained leading audits in a similar HSE/health and safety role.
  • Either a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Health and Safety or similar qualification.
  • Good computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
