Job Title: SHEQ Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Manager to join our team at Gilks (Nantwich) Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve our QHSE management systems to meet ISO standards, including setting annual objectives and reviewing policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, complete SHEQ reports, and attend client and company meetings to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage and maintain records of health and safety documents, regulations, and codes of practice, and lead internal and external audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement risk assessment method statements (RAMS) and complete inductions and risk assessments for employees and contractors.
  • Review and approve sub-contractor RAMS and assist with new supplier and sub-contractor pre-approval information.
  • Maintain industry standards certifications and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Record and address feedback, and raise corrective actions and opportunities for improvement where non-conformances are identified.
  • Complete Face Fit and PAT testing, and organize the calibration of equipment, maintaining records and certifications.
  • Assist with training and development programs, including Toolbox Talks, ECS, and other relevant training.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading audits in a similar HSE or health and safety role.
  • Hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Health and Safety or similar qualification.
  • Excellent computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to be hands-on with tasks.
