We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Manager to join our team at Gilks (Nantwich) Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and improve our QHSE management systems to meet ISO standards, including setting annual objectives and reviewing policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, complete SHEQ reports, and attend client and company meetings to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Manage and maintain records of health and safety documents, regulations, and codes of practice, and lead internal and external audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement risk assessment method statements (RAMS) and complete inductions and risk assessments for employees and contractors.
- Review and approve sub-contractor RAMS and assist with new supplier and sub-contractor pre-approval information.
- Maintain industry standards certifications and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Record and address feedback, and raise corrective actions and opportunities for improvement where non-conformances are identified.
- Complete Face Fit and PAT testing, and organize the calibration of equipment, maintaining records and certifications.
- Assist with training and development programs, including Toolbox Talks, ECS, and other relevant training.
- Proven experience in leading audits in a similar HSE or health and safety role.
- Hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Health and Safety or similar qualification.
- Excellent computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to be hands-on with tasks.
- Competitive salary up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Car allowance.

- Permanent contract, working full-time hours 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
