Company Overview: Searcys, a prestigious name in the catering and restaurant industry since 1847, is seeking a dedicated Conference & Banqueting Supervisor. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Deputy Operations Manager and the team to ensure exceptional service and high-quality food and beverages across our extensive conference and banqueting services.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships with the onsite events team and clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of event briefs and executing every detail with precision and a personal touch.
  • Oversee the training and development of the Operations waiting team and floor managers, ensuring adherence to established standards and providing necessary training in food and beverage service.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and governmental guidelines, including but not limited to the Food Safety Act and Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Conduct training sessions in line with the operations department's training calendar and maintain accurate records of staff training.
  • Implement staff induction and mandatory training within the initial months of employment, monitoring performance during the probationary period.
  • Coordinate with key personnel across various departments (kitchen, events, reception, etc.) to guarantee consistent food and service quality in accordance with pre-agreed standards.
  • Address customer complaints effectively and courteously, escalating issues to the line manager as necessary.
  • Perform regular inspections of event areas to ensure maintenance, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor adherence to in-house accounting policies and oversee food and beverage control, including stocktaking responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, particularly regarding fire safety, security, licensing, and local authority stipulations.
  • Maintain high standards of health, hygiene, and safety as outlined in the company policy.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable requests from management.
