We are seeking a dedicated Team Manager (Supported Living Service for Individuals with Learning Disabilities) to enhance our operations. This role is essential in providing high-quality support and guidance to our team based in a community-focused environment.

As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our service users receive exceptional care and support. You will lead a team of enthusiastic support workers, fostering an environment where individuals with learning disabilities can thrive and lead fulfilling lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage
  • Providing supervision and support to team members
  • Facilitating regular team meetings to enhance communication and collaboration
  • Onboarding new staff and conducting performance evaluations
  • Overseeing documentation related to health and safety, medication management, and quality assurance
  • Planning and organizing community engagement activities
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to uphold high standards of care.

The Team Manager will assist the Registered Care Manager in promoting a sense of community and belonging, ensuring that our service delivery aligns with our organizational values and the standards set by regulatory bodies.

About you:

  • Highly organized and proficient in IT, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively
  • Experienced in leading and managing team performance, setting clear goals, and addressing performance issues
  • Skilled in guiding and training staff in supporting individuals with learning disabilities
  • Knowledgeable about care planning processes
  • Minimum of one year’s experience as a Team Manager in a similar setting
  • Possession of NVQ Level 3 in health and social care
  • Familiarity with digital care planning tools is advantageous
  • Up-to-date understanding of regulatory requirements and their application in care settings
  • A natural inclination to enhance the lives of others
