House of Fraser is a renowned department store chain with a rich history of over 170 years, offering a diverse range of over 500 global brands. As we embark on an exciting new chapter under the Frasers store concept, we are seeking dedicated Floor Managers to oversee our Premium Frasers Floor.


Role Overview:

As a Department Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in achieving operational excellence and fostering team engagement. Your responsibilities will encompass:


1. Operational Excellence:
  • Assist in managing store operations to meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Plan workloads effectively to ensure team productivity.
  • Make informed decisions and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Provide training and coaching to enhance team performance.

2. Financial Controls:
  • Utilize reports to maintain wage control and address issues promptly.
  • Support the scheduling of store shifts in alignment with trading patterns.
  • Assist in payroll processing and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to customer service and security standards.

3. Sales Performance:
  • Motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Train staff on product knowledge to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Track and communicate KPI targets to the team.
  • Analyze reports to enhance product sales and profitability.

4. Team Development:
  • Identify and nurture internal talent for career progression.
  • Support performance management and address issues constructively.
  • Promote the core values of the Frasers Group.

5. Leadership:
  • Inspire and motivate the team as a role model.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve shared goals.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the store.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Proven ability to influence sales, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Experience in developing team members' skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.
