Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapy Lead specializing in pediatric care.

This role is pivotal in overseeing the speech and language therapy services for children and infants, ensuring high-quality care across multiple healthcare facilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Act as a clinical authority in the management of speech and language therapy for infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Provide operational leadership and management for the pediatric speech therapy team.
  • Oversee the daily planning, coordination, and delivery of the pediatric speech therapy services across designated healthcare sites.
  • Function as an independent practitioner, delivering expert assessments, diagnoses, and management plans for referred patients while supervising team members.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive services to children and their families.
  • Ensure that the service is adaptable to user needs while adhering to departmental and organizational objectives.

  • Extensive experience in pediatric dysphagia management.
  • Proven track record in a senior role within acute pediatric settings.

  • Experience in local-level teaching and training.

Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced understanding of the role of speech and language therapy in pediatric care.
  • In-depth knowledge of pediatric dysphagia.

  • Experience with advanced clinical competencies in videofluoroscopy or fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing.
