About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management of the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Service across two hospital sites.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the service and ensure it meets the needs of patients and families.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to children and their families.
  • Manage a team of Speech and Language Therapists and provide supervision and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals and services to ensure seamless care for patients.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the service is delivered in accordance with best practice and national guidelines.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a senior role in acute paediatrics, with a focus on speech and language therapy.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Advanced knowledge of paediatric dysphagia and speech and language therapy, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
