Speech and Language Therapy Team LeadWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to lead our dedicated team within the education sector. As a Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of high-quality speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs.
Job PurposeTo provide expert clinical leadership and management for our Speech and Language Therapy service, ensuring that we deliver exceptional support to students and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Expertise: Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based interventions for students with speech, language, and communication needs. Evaluate outcomes and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Team Leadership: Line manage a team of Speech and Language Therapists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
- Service Development: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our Speech and Language Therapy service. Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in the field.
- Collaboration: Build strong relationships with teaching staff, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student support. Advocate for the needs of students with speech and language difficulties.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements. Analyze data to monitor service performance and identify areas for improvement.
Applicants should possess a recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy, registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Proven experience in managing staff and working within educational settings is essential.
