About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at British Home and Hospital for Incurables. As a key member of our therapy team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality neuro therapy services to our residents with neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of neuro therapy service to a wide range of patients with neurological conditions, enabling residents to access and maintain personal interests in accordance with best practice, agreed standards, legislation, and within the financial budget.
  • Provide a range of therapies to support the well-being of all residents under the supervision of qualified therapists.
  • Work with the therapy team to ensure therapy plans are implemented, documented, and evaluated, ensuring the programs reflect the current population of the service's wishes and preferences.
  • Promote an enablement culture and approach to care within the British Home and Hospital for Incurables.
  • Maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge.
Requirements

  • Experience of managing a caseload
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Speech and Language Therapy, excellent communication and coordination skills, and the ability to work in a holistic way. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, autonomously, and be flexible to changing circumstances.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a team, managing a caseload, and applying Speech and Language Therapy principles. They will also have a strong understanding of the enabling approach to support people to meet their full potential.
