Head of IT Operations

Onyx-Conseil is a prominent financial institution with a strong presence in the banking sector.


We are in search of a highly experienced Head of IT Operations with a robust background in software and application development, particularly within the investment and private banking domains.


The successful candidate will possess a solid history of steering IT transformation initiatives, delivering comprehensive solutions across various customer interaction channels, and leading both software development and infrastructure technology teams.


This position will report directly to the Board and will require collaboration with diverse stakeholders throughout the organization, including Human Resources, Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Governance, and Business Transformation.


The Head of IT Operations will be tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the IT department, managing IT projects, enforcing and maintaining network security protocols, and formulating IT strategies.

  • Oversee and manage the IT department, which includes both software application development and infrastructure technology teams.
  • Lead and execute software and application development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring high standards and timely delivery.
  • Drive IT transformation projects within the banking sector to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver IT solutions across various customer interaction channels, including online banking, mobile applications, and in-branch systems.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders, including Human Resources, Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Governance, and Business Transformation, to identify IT requirements and devise strategies to meet them.

  • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor partnerships.
  • Report to the Board on IT strategy, progress, and performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT Management and Information Technology.
  • Expertise in IT Operations and IT Strategy.
  • Knowledge of Network Security principles.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with a strong emphasis on software and application development.
  • Extensive experience in leading IT transformation projects within investment and private banking environments.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering IT solutions across multiple customer interaction channels.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including Human Resources, Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Governance, and Business Transformation.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and digital banking trends.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in the banking sector.
  • Understanding of cloud computing and data analytics.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days in the office.
