Job Summary

The Merchant Navy Training Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering & Electro-Technical Officer to join our team. As an Engineering Officer, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment on board the ship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain power generation and distribution systems, lifts, refrigeration plant, pumping and ventilation systems.
  • Monitor hydraulic and control equipment using high-tech instrumentation.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Lead and supervise a team of engineering personnel at sea and in port.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Electro-Technical Officer Responsibilities

  • Maintain complex onboard electronic and electrical equipment.
  • Monitor electrical equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to equipment challenges.

  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
