Position Overview:

Our client, a prominent securities brokerage, is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the Product Control and Revenue Reporting functions for their global operations. This position will require collaboration with various departments, including Front Office, Operations, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily oversight and management of global Profit & Loss and Revenue reports, addressing trade flow discrepancies and their impact on revenue, as well as handling both manual and automated revenue accounting entries.
  • Supervise the reconciliation of Sub-ledger to Ledger, while maintaining vigilance over Revenue Control Accounts, balance sheet accounts, and monitoring monthly positions, fails, and outstanding transactions.
  • Engage closely with diverse teams within Finance, coordinating with Trading desks, Operations, Middle Office, and IT to ensure precise and timely revenue reporting.
  • Participate in monthly Profit & Loss discussions, analyze variances on fees prepared by team members, and manage the comprehensive Revenue Control process, including reviewing Transfer Pricing models and accounting practices.
  • Examine SOX Certification documents, assist external auditors during statutory audits, and generate ad hoc global revenue reports for senior management and other departments as required.
  • Contribute to system and product migration initiatives, effectively escalating issues to highlight concerns and focus on recurring challenges, while driving enhancement projects and system improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in an accounting capacity within Financial Services or auditing Financial Services in a practice environment.
  • Proven experience in managing or mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • A strong focus on controls, with the capability to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses, alongside excellent accounting, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of Product Control is advantageous for this role.
