The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience within the music sector and a solid understanding of revenue tracking processes.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing revenue tracking initiatives for the UK and international publishing territories.
  • Ensuring comprehensive royalty collections for various rights including radio, television, mechanical, and streaming.
  • Assisting management in understanding revenue expectations.
  • Collaborating with finance, data, and operations teams on business data projects.
  • Utilizing music industry expertise to ensure accurate distributions by performance rights organizations and collective management organizations.
  • Identifying discrepancies in royalty statements or usage reports and addressing claims for missing or underreported usages.
  • Engaging directly with collective rights management organizations and data suppliers.
  • Participating in industry forums and publishing association meetings.
  • Establishing controls and processes to ensure timely and accurate mapping of income statements.
  • Implementing advanced tools to enhance automation and scalability.
  • Producing monthly analyses and reports regarding income completeness and anticipated earnings.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure thorough reconciliation with cash ledgers.
  • Working alongside the in-house Data Engineer to define clear requirements for income data analytics.
  • Applying technical skills to streamline processes and proactively address business challenges.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the music industry with a strong grasp of royalty flows.
  • Extensive experience in managing revenue tracking workflows and providing commercial insights.
  • Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in identifying discrepancies through cross-validation and committed to uncovering solutions.
  • Capable of generating commercial insights through analysis of large data sets using analytical and BI tools (preferably SQL, Looker, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex insights for management.
  • Organized and proactive, with a strong drive for results.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
