London, Greater London, United Kingdom Known Source Full time
Job Description

About Us:

Known Source is a pioneering platform dedicated to connecting curated second-hand fashion retailers. Our mission is to simplify the journey for individuals seeking quality apparel while extending the lifecycle of each garment. We envision a world where every piece of clothing experiences multiple lives.

As we embark on an exciting phase of growth, we have recently revamped our online presence and are set to launch a year-long initiative in a prominent retail space. This presents a significant opportunity for our brand to gain visibility and scale.

Our retail location will feature an exclusive selection of items sourced from our network of suppliers, referred to as our dealers. Each dealer is a distinguished independent second-hand fashion entity, offering a diverse array of styles. From iconic Jean Paul Gaultier pieces to classic Levi's 501s and innovative Stone Island designs, our store will showcase a unique assortment of one-of-a-kind products.

To support this vision, we are in search of an Inventory Manager to play a crucial role in our stock management strategy.

Job Summary:

This position is centered on overseeing and enhancing inventory levels, ensuring precision, and maintaining effective inventory systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with team members to track stock levels, managing stock arrivals, preparing and labeling merchandise, and occasionally processing online orders. You will also be tasked with establishing inventory control protocols to maximize stockroom efficiency. Given the uniqueness of our model, a creative approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine inventory management strategies to sustain optimal stock levels.
  • Supervise daily inventory functions, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
  • Regularly assess inventory levels and conduct audits.
  • Collaborate with our dealer network to anticipate demand and plan inventory requirements.
  • Examine inventory and sales data to uncover trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement.
  • Establish and uphold inventory control measures to improve efficiency and maximize stockroom space.
  • Utilize inventory management software to monitor and report on inventory metrics.
  • Guide and mentor shop-floor personnel, offering support and direction as necessary.
  • Quickly address and resolve inventory discrepancies and challenges.
  • Oversee order fulfillment for in-store items purchased online.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Inventory Manager or in a comparable role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (preferably Shopify POS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive inventory management approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in inventory management or supply chain.
  • Experience in the second-hand fashion sector.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • Significant potential for career advancement.
  • A supportive and collaborative workplace culture.

Why Apply:

We seek driven individuals who aspire to be part of our dynamic team as we scale. The success of our retail operation hinges on the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management, so we are looking for organized, efficient, and innovative candidates. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about second-hand fashion, and wish to contribute to positive changes in consumer behavior within the fashion industry, this role is an excellent fit for you.

How to Apply:

If you are enthusiastic about sustainable fashion and possess the skills to excel in a vibrant retail setting, we would be eager to hear from you. Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for the Inventory Manager position at Known Source.

Known Source is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all employees.
