Our retail space will feature a unique assortment of items sourced from our community of suppliers, whom we refer to as our dealers. Each dealer is a respected independent second-hand fashion entity, offering a diverse array of styles. Our collection will include everything from iconic pieces to everyday essentials, ensuring a distinctive shopping experience.
To support our operations, we are seeking an Inventory Manager to play a crucial role in our stock management strategy.
Job Summary:
This position focuses on overseeing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring precision, and maintaining effective inventory systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with team members to track stock levels, managing stock arrivals, preparing and labeling items, and occasionally fulfilling online orders. You will also be tasked with implementing inventory control measures to enhance the efficiency of our storage area. Given our unique business model, a creative approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine inventory management strategies to sustain optimal stock levels.
- Manage daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and monitor stock levels.
- Collaborate with our dealer network to anticipate demand and organize inventory requirements.
- Analyze inventory and sales data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
- Establish and uphold inventory control protocols to maximize efficiency and storage capacity.
- Utilize inventory management software to monitor and report on inventory metrics.
- Train and oversee shop-floor personnel, offering guidance and support as necessary.
- Address and resolve inventory discrepancies and challenges promptly.
- Lead the fulfillment process for in-store items purchased online.
What We Are Looking For:
- Demonstrated experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar capacity.
- Comprehensive understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (preferably Shopify POS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to inventory management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in inventory management or supply chain management.
