We are seeking an experienced support worker to join our team at Ilkeston, providing support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs.

The successful candidate will work in a supported living service, providing individualised support packages and promoting independence to enable people to live a happy and fulfilled life within their own homes.

The service comprises of 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs, and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.

Shift patterns are generally 07:00 to 14:00/15:00 and 08:00 to 15:00/16:00, 14:00 to 21:00/22:00 and 15:00 to 21:00/22:00, and 21:00 to 07:00 and 22:00 to 07:00 (Waking Nights).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible.
  • Follow daily planners, help with financial expenditure, domestic support, and administration of medication.
  • Support with personal care and meal planning/preparation, maintaining important relationships, and support to find new friendships.
  • Encourage participation in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion.
  • Seek new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support, which could include volunteering roles and further education access.
