Job Title: Social Worker Youth Justice Service

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Youth Justice Service team in Derbyshire. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people and their families to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct holistic assessments to identify the needs of children and young people, and develop effective plans to support their personal, social, and educational development.
  • Work with vulnerable children and young people, and those with disabilities, to ensure they receive the support they need to thrive in their community.
  • Persuade, empower, and motivate families to engage and overcome barriers to change, including managing challenging behavior.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people.
  • Prepare pre-sentence reports and other reports for courts and multi-agency professional meetings.
Requirements:
  • A social work qualification is essential.
  • Experience of working with young people, including following intervention programs.
  • Strong administration and IT skills, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
