About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our dynamic and collaborative Counter-Fraud Division as a Litigated Fraud File Handler. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in advancing your legal career while contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage litigated claims on a Delegated Authority basis on behalf of a cross-section of our Insurer Clients.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader and Lead Lawyer to achieve the best possible results in a commercially sound manner.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, taking into account forensic and analytical approaches to dealing with evidence.
  • Make informed decisions within set timeframes, ensuring the best interests of the client are met.
  • Work strategically to identify and capitalize on litigation opportunities, shaping the future of the counter-fraud arena.

  • Bogus Passenger claims
  • Staged/Contrived claims
  • Fraudulent Exaggeration claims
  • Induced accidents
  • Low Speed Impact claims
  • Late Notification Claims
  • Credit Hire Fraud claims
  • Linked & Organised claims
Key Accountabilities
  • Run fraud cases from litigation through to resolution.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, ensuring adherence to client guidelines and KYO/generic strategies.
  • Identify strategic litigation opportunities and complex cases.
  • Ensure maximum client satisfaction and accurate completion of client and internal MI.
  • Achieve client and internal KPIs.
Requirements
  • Experience in civil litigation claims handling or as a legal File Handler.
  • Experience of handling RTA pre-litigated and/or litigated case loads.
  • Understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes, including indemnity principles.
  • Knowledge of the litigation process and working knowledge of the CPR, relevant Personal Injury Protocols, and working platforms/portals.
  • Good advocacy and client care skills.
  • High level of analytical skills and excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills and experience of time recording and billing systems.
