We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our Fraud Team at Davies Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to start their legal career in a professional environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the litigation teams in achieving client key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). They will be involved in a variety of tasks to support the file handlers in the team.
Key Responsibilities- Update case management systems with accurate and timely information, including file allocations, diary records, court dates, directions, applications, and orders.
- Draft routine court documents, such as applications, notices, and court orders.
- Liaise with courts, counsel, opponents, experts, witnesses, insureds, and brokers to progress cases.
- Follow up on outstanding instructions, documents, and actions to ensure timely responses.
- Make payment requests and chase payments to ensure timely receipt and dispatch.
- Diarise and update case records.
- Undertake additional ad hoc duties to support file handlers and the team, including minor investigations, administration tasks, and file closure/transfer activities.
- Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations and adhere to the company's values.
- Experience working in a legal environment is desirable.
- Good communication skills and experience negotiating with and influencing third parties.
- Dealing with calls and enquiries from customers, suppliers, and the public.
- Gathering and recording information.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficient in alpha-numerical filing systems.
