Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Solution Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of solar projects, from feasibility assessments to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility assessments to identify potential solar project sites
  • Perform solar resource assessments and energy yield assessments to determine the viability of projects
  • Support the techno-economic optimization of solar projects, including solar PV system design and its impact on Balance of System
  • Conduct miscellaneous analyses in support of project development, including system-wide design and energy modeling
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to discuss supplier options and ensure the best value for our projects
  • Develop and maintain tools and models to support project development and delivery
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and data analysis
  • Experience working on utility-scale solar PV projects, with a focus on system-wide design and energy modeling
  • Proficiency in PV simulation software, such as PVSyst
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a renewable energy company or a related field
  • Knowledge of GIS and programming languages, such as Python
  • Relevant trade or vocational background, with a focus on electrical or mechanical engineering
