Role Overview:
The Procurement Lead will oversee the procurement operations, managing resources and budgets for all materials and subcontracted supply chain functions that support the organization’s operations. This position will report directly to the Head of Procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Effectively communicate strategies and preferred partners to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams and Cost Estimation to establish and meet cost targets throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present the annual procurement budgets.
  • Focus on cost management and enhance transparency through detailed quotation analysis.
  • Set and monitor objectives for QDCR (quality, delivery, cost, risk) performance assessments.
  • Ensure adequate supply chain capacity to meet projected volumes over the next five years.
  • Address supply chain escalations, conducting root cause analysis to maintain supply continuity.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports through performance evaluations, development opportunities, and KPI management.
  • Utilize Supplier Dashboard data to inform supplier selection and improvement strategies, ensuring the Dashboard is regularly updated.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in procurement within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • CIPS qualified or part-qualified, with a willingness to pursue further studies.
  • Understanding of engineering or design principles is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with familiarity in Google Suite being a plus.
