Job Overview

Purpose
As a key member of the Product Control team, you will oversee the operational functions related to the Debt Capital Markets and Spread Investment Grade sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a crucial liaison between the Front Office and Financial Control, utilizing specialized product expertise to ensure timely resolution of daily profit and loss discrepancies, achieving consensus with the Front Office.
  • Generate daily desk profit and loss reports accompanied by insightful commentaries.
  • Validate profit and loss figures through comprehensive risk-based analysis, employing Greeks and new trade evaluations.
  • Conduct reconciliations of profit and loss against trader estimates.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the bank's financial records through thorough reconciliation and attestation processes.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of product flows and trade booking accounting practices, offering support in detailed investigations related to reconciliation activities.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support as requested by the Front Office and senior management, including in-depth profit and loss reviews and balance sheet assessments.
  • Report consolidated financial results to senior management, incorporating necessary valuation adjustments.
  • Keep the Product Control team and stakeholders promptly informed of any revaluation matters that could impact subsequent operations.
  • Produce additional reporting as needed by the Front Office and senior management.
  • Participate in significant change management initiatives aimed at enhancing daily operational processes.
  • Uphold the independence of the Product Control function within the organization.
  • Facilitate compliance with regulatory and audit standards within Capital Markets.
  • Contribute leadership and insights in the design, testing, and implementation of major infrastructural modifications.
  • Engage in key change management projects to optimize operational efficiencies through technology and process improvements.

Required Skills

Proficiency in Accounting, Business Analytics, Financial Accounting Systems, General Ledger Management, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
