Engage with critical stakeholders, including national and local authorities, UN agencies, and other relevant parties in Ukraine, to ensure Save the Children International (SCI) is informed about the evolving situation and response, focusing on child rights in recovery and integration processes, child poverty, and other issues affecting children and civilians. Assist in the creation of advocacy and policy materials for Ukraine, ensuring that SCI's global stance on these matters is integrated wherever feasible in research outputs through proactive and targeted research and engagement with key contacts. Aid in drafting and producing advocacy materials such as briefings, talking points, and reports on pertinent issues, ensuring they are evidence-based, regularly updated, and of high quality for use at country, regional, and international levels. Support information collection for initiatives related to reconstruction policy development and child poverty, including monitoring legislative developments, adoption of relevant strategies and plans, and other significant themes. Adhere to Save the Children's ethical research standards in all research activities, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all research participants, and ensuring compliance with these standards by Save the Children partners.

Desk Research

Monitor advocacy project timelines, track progress, and update relevant colleagues and stakeholders as necessary. Perform extensive mappings of advocacy stakeholders and research target groups in collaboration with the Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor. Conduct preliminary data analyses and identify information gaps. Draft narrative reports based on research findings and assist in developing research reports and corresponding advocacy materials.

Situation Analysis and Information Management

Regularly conduct sectoral and contextual research and, when requested, provide written analysis of how children have been impacted by the conflict in Ukraine, specifically regarding their involvement in decision-making processes related to the country's reconstruction and its path towards EU integration. Proactively identify and take ownership of key advocacy opportunities and produce materials in close coordination with relevant teams. Gather and process information related to the needs and processes of reconstruction (and associated political processes) in Ukraine, producing high-quality briefings and context updates as needed.
