Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Programme Development and Quality Manager to join our team in [Country]. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of high-quality programmes that deliver results for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Country Programme Strategy, in collaboration with the Country Representative and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage programme budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with Save the Children's financial policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and partners, to ensure effective programme implementation and advocacy.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of programme monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring that programmes are meeting their intended outcomes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to programme staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality programmes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Programme Operations and Advocacy, to ensure effective programme implementation and coordination.
  • Represent Save the Children at national and international levels, as required, to promote the organisation's work and interests.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as international development, programme management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in programme management, with a focus on child rights and development.
  • Proven experience in leading programme development and implementation, including budget management and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of child rights and development principles, including the UNCRC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, with a working knowledge of the local language.
