Job Overview

Tarmac, a leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business, is seeking a highly skilled Internal Sales Representative to join our Mortar department in Buxton, Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service existing accounts and obtain orders through proactive lead generation and outbound calling.
  • Establish new accounts by calling on existing or new customers and contractors.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and input quotations/notes on our in-house SAP system.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, locations, and products.
  • Participate in a coaching process to support the growth and performance of the commercial team.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales with a focus on customer service, addressing underlying needs, and driving improvement.
  • Ability to meet sales goals and demonstrate effective client relationship management.
  • Positive attitude, customer focus, and drive to succeed.
  • Good communication skills and pro-active and numerate.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and work on own initiative.
  • Current full driving license required for plant and customer visits.
