About the Role

HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Tender Manager to lead tenders on civil engineering infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tender process, ensuring the team has a thorough understanding of client requirements, and producing high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tender Management: Oversee the tender process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of bids.
  • Client Requirements: Ensure the tender team has a comprehensive understanding of client needs and expectations.
  • Bid Development: Develop and manage the bid strategy, working closely with the tender team to produce high-quality bids.
  • Team Management: Directly supervise and manage the tender team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Operational Contribution: Make significant operational contributions to the tender process, including writing, reviewing, and finalizing bids.
  • Project Planning: Work with the Planner to plan projects to the required level of detail.
  • Supply Chain Management: Assist in interviewing the supply chain, working closely with the Procurement Department.
  • Technical Data Input: Coordinate with subcontractors for technical data input and liaise with estimators to obtain necessary information.
  • Cost Production: Contribute to cost production to ensure consistency with technical volume.
  • Risk Management: Prepare risk management documentation for projects and services to be supplied to clients.
  • Post-Bid Reviews: Conduct post-bid reviews and hand over documentation.
Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record of leading successful construction/civil engineering infrastructure project tenders.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Qualifications: A degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
