About the Role

Ferrovial is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tender Manager to lead and manage complex tender opportunities, driving business growth and success in the UK infrastructure market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of Health and Safety excellence in accordance with company policy.
  • Lead the relationship with client representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration in accordance with tender instructions and strategy.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive tender strategy to maximize the probability of winning tenders, leveraging the company's strengths and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare high-quality tender submissions, aligning with client requirements and expectations.
  • Coordinate and guide tender teams to ensure efficient and effective tender management, resulting in excellent outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all business procedures, including governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external meetings, fostering collaboration and communication among stakeholders.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of all deliverables and internal documents, adhering to good practice and governance standards.
  • Implement and follow Board decisions and guidance from the line Manager (Tendering Director).
  • Liaise with other teams and departments to leverage expertise, lessons learned, and best practices, ensuring seamless handovers and successful tender outcomes.
  • Understand and address key technical aspects of tenders, coordinating and challenging technical aspects to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate project technical and commercial risks, incorporating inputs from subject matter experts.
  • Promote company values and culture in all interactions with employees, clients, partners, and external contacts.
  • Support the development of commercial arrangements with Joint Venture partners.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and able to manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Ability to establish and follow tender programs, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsive to meet tender deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience managing tender teams and understanding scoring criteria.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects.
  • Civil Engineering degree or similar engineering background.
