Health and Safety Manager

Astute People are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive health and safety program for a new build Energy from Waste Power Station in the North West region.
This is a key role within the company's Health and Safety team, and the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reporting to the Plant Manager and providing strategic guidance on health and safety matters.
- Developing and maintaining the site's health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Providing training and guidance to operational staff on health and safety best practices.
- Collaborating with the HSE team to develop and implement a risk assessment and accident reporting system.
- Monitoring and analyzing health and safety performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, gained in a heavy process or engineering environment, and a minimum of five years' experience in a health and safety management position. A NEBOSH certificate qualification is required for this role.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive basic salary, bonus opportunity, pension, healthcare, training and development opportunities, and the chance to join a brand new Power Station.
