Digital Merchandising Specialist

Job Purpose

As a key member of the Halfords team, the Digital Merchandising Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our online product offerings are optimized for customer satisfaction and business success. This involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that products are accurately represented, promotions are effectively executed, and customer expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with the Category, Customer, Content, and CRO teams to guarantee that product setup, attribution, images, product copy, product location(s), delivery flags, and stock status align with customer expectations.

  2. Partner with the Digital Trading, Marketing, and Content teams to ensure timely and accurate online product/range updates, complete with supporting content and placement.

  3. Focus on delivering an exceptional customer journey and user experience, driving business growth through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.

  4. Support major and minor sales events by re-merchandising the site as required, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

  5. Develop and implement online category strategies based on customer and competitive insights, brand strategy, and e-commerce goals and initiatives.

  6. Analyze sales and web metrics to inform recommendations on products, categories, web marketing, and promotions, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.

  7. Collaborate with the Customer Contact team, Data Analytics, and CRO teams to understand customer feedback, address issues, and implement changes as needed.

  8. Work with the Data Analysis and CRO teams to analyze overall performance, identify optimization opportunities, and influence key stakeholders with timely and compelling insights.
