Job Title: E-Commerce Merchandising Coordinator at Halfords

Job Purpose:
As a vital member of the eCommerce division, you will significantly contribute to the planning and implementation of the Extended Range Initiative at Halfords. Your role will encompass product merchandising, promotional arrangements, and ongoing management for various retail extensions, with an initial focus on automotive components. You will ensure that our online product selections are tailored to fulfill customer expectations and align with corporate goals.

The Extended Range Initiative allows Halfords to partner with external suppliers to broaden our online inventory, utilizing dropship or on-demand delivery methods. While the initial focus is on automotive parts, the program is set to expand into a broader assortment of retail items.

This dynamic position will be essential in establishing optimal practices while collaborating with colleagues from various departments and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a digital authority within the eCommerce merchandising team, enhancing the online shopping experience for customers while supporting corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new product lines and enhance existing offerings.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings focusing on sales, marketing, and strategic planning.
  • Contribute to ongoing website improvements, innovative concepts, and implementation of new releases.
  • Ensure timely updates of online product information with accurate content.
  • Concentrate on enhancing the customer journey and user experience through data-driven insights.
  • Plan and execute sales and promotional campaigns.
  • Evaluate performance metrics to enhance service bookings and product attachments.
  • Work with various teams to address customer feedback and implement necessary adjustments.

Collaboration with Data Analysis, Conversion Rate Optimization, and Improvement Teams:
  • Assess Service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Deliver insights to key stakeholders and provide regular performance reports.
  • Assist the digital merchandising team with training and best practices.
