Digital Merchandising Specialist

Job Purpose

As a key member of the Halfords team, the Digital Merchandiser will play a crucial role in ensuring that our online product offerings are optimized for customer satisfaction and business success. This involves working closely with various teams to ensure that products are accurately represented, promotions are effectively executed, and customer recommendations are relevant and timely.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Category, Customer, Content, and CRO teams to ensure that product setup, attribution, images, product copy, product location(s), delivery flags, and stock status accurately reflect customer expectations.

  2. Work with Digital Trading, Marketing, and Content teams to ensure that all online product/range updates are delivered on time, with the right supporting content, in the right place.

  3. Focus on the customer journey and user experience, ensuring that our online presence is intuitive, engaging, and meets customer needs.

  4. Support major and minor sales events, re-merchandising the site as required to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

  5. Implement changes to online category strategy based on customer and competitive insights, brand strategy, and e-commerce goals and initiatives.

  6. Analyze sales and web metrics to make recommendations about products, categories, web marketing, and promotions.

  7. Work closely with Customer Contact, Data Analytics, and CRO teams to understand customer feedback, address issues, and implement changes as appropriate.

  8. Work closely with Data Analysis and CRO teams to analyze overall performance, identify optimization opportunities, and influence key stakeholders with timely and compelling insights.

  2. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines, often working independently.

  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, or a related field.

  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.

  3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
