Job Overview

As a key member of the Halfords eCommerce team, this role will play a pivotal part in the development and execution of our Extended Range programme. Working closely with colleagues from various functions, you will be responsible for the merchandising, promotional setup, and maintenance of our online product range. This will involve ensuring that our offer is fully served online, with optimised listings and customer journeys that meet business objectives.

The Extended Range project allows Halfords to partner with external suppliers to list a wider range of products and solutions online, with fulfilment via dropship or on-demand delivery to a Halfords store. Initially focused on car parts, the programme will expand to cover a broader range of retail products.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Digital Merchandising team, you will be the point of digital expertise in the selling of retail products, enhancing the online journey to support customers and achieve business objectives.
  • Work collaboratively across the project team, including eCommerce, sales, and marketing functions, to ensure new ranges are created using best practice and optimised existing extended range products.
  • Attend cross-functional team meetings to discuss sales, marketing, performance, and strategy, and participate in weekly meetings with the Digital eCommerce team to exchange best practice and discuss key developments.
  • Support the onsite Development team in pursuing ongoing enhancements, new ideas, and release implementation, with a focus on the customer journey and digital insights.
  • Work with the wider eCommerce, Digital, and Customer teams to ensure all online product updates are delivered on time, with the right supporting content, in the right place.
  • Analyse commercial and web metrics to make recommendations on how to increase service bookings and improve service attachment.
  • Work closely with the Customer Contact team to understand customer feedback and address issues, implementing changes as necessary.
