About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in driving improvements in workplace safety and health.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Management: Manage a team of safety professionals to ensure effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  2. Data Analysis: Analyze data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information needed to make informed safety-related decisions.
  3. Policy Development: Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  4. Culture Development: Drive programs designed to improve the safety culture within Amazon.
A Day in the Life

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the development of our safety culture. You will be responsible for managing health and safety standards, improving functionality and efficiency, and managing a team to implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.

Basic Qualifications
  1. Education: A degree in a relevant field and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
  2. Experience: Relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  3. Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Methodologies: Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  2. Sustainability: Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
  3. Communication: Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  4. Industry Body: Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
