Permanent Childcare Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Lawyer to join our dynamic Legal Team at the London Borough of Lewisham. As a qualified lawyer with a strong background in Childcare Law, you will be responsible for handling a demanding caseload of child protection cases, advising Social Services clients, and preparing legal documentation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for Senior Social Care Lawyers
  • Handle a busy caseload of child protection cases, including advocacy in the Central Family Court
  • Advise Social Services clients on all aspects of relevant legislation
  • Prepare legal documentation, including court documents, and assist Senior Social Care Lawyers with complex matters
  • Attend meetings with clients, external parties, and professionals as required
  • Carry out legal research

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Childcare Lawyer to join a reputable Legal Team. Our client is looking for a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years PQE, preferably with a local government background, and a current practising certificate.
