Are you a qualified lawyer with a passion for child protection and social care law? We are seeking a permanent Childcare Lawyer to join our dynamic and friendly Legal Team at the London Borough of Lewisham.

The successful candidate will have experience in handling child protection cases, advising Social Services clients, and preparing legal documentation. They will also have the opportunity to undertake advocacy in the Central Family Court.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Senior Social Care Lawyers
  • Handle a demanding and busy caseload of mainly child protection cases
  • Advising Social Services clients in person and in writing
  • Prepare all legal documentation relevant to the caseload
  • Attend all meetings with clients and external parties, professionals' meetings and panels as required

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 3 years PQE
  • Experience in child protection and social care law
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
