Position Summary

We are looking for a full-time Head of Commercial Claims Management to lead our Ontario Region Claims Team. This role involves overseeing the Claims Team in London, ensuring that Gallagher clients receive exceptional claims service and advocacy while upholding the high standards of our Claims division. Your leadership and integrity will be essential in guiding our diverse team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership and mentorship to Claims Specialists, Advocates, and Associates.
  2. Analyze and discuss new claims from large Commercial Insurance clients, focusing on policy wording.
  3. Offer professional claims counseling to insured parties as needed.
  4. Act as an advocate for complex client claims with insurers.
  5. Support Claim Advocates in reviewing policy coverages and advocacy efforts.
  6. Lead client meetings in collaboration with the Client Solutions Team.
  7. Build relationships with Gallagher insurers' Claims Management Teams and adjusters.
  8. Establish partnerships with key service providers, including restoration companies and law firms.
  9. Maintain and update client files using Broker Management Systems.
  10. Communicate with adjusters and insureds regarding open claims.
  11. Facilitate communication between insured parties and insurance carriers during negotiations.
  12. Participate in seminars and educational activities to enhance product knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications

  1. RIBO license or the ability to obtain one upon starting the role is required.
  2. Experience in Claims Adjusting or as a Commercial Broker with Claims Advocacy is essential.
  3. Expertise in non-profit, program, or manufacturing claims is a plus.
  4. Experience in team management or leadership is advantageous.
  5. CAIB, CIP, or CRM designations are beneficial.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  7. Excellent organizational and time management abilities are required.
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
  9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.
  11. Experience with Broker Management or electronic filing software is a plus.
