Position Summary
We are in search of a full-time Head of Commercial Claims for our Ontario Region. This key position involves leading the Claims Team, ensuring that Gallagher clients receive exceptional claims support and advocacy while upholding the high service standards set by our organization. Your leadership and integrity will be essential in guiding our diverse team.
Work Environment: Hybrid (Agile) – At Gallagher, we value the flexibility of remote work while also cherishing in-office collaboration.
Your Impact:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Claims Specialists, Advocates, and Associates.
- Analyze and discuss new claims from large Commercial Insurance clients, focusing on policy wording.
- Offer professional claims counseling to insured parties as needed.
- Advocate for clients on complex claims with insurers.
- Assist Claim Advocates in reviewing policy coverages and advocacy efforts.
- Lead client meetings in collaboration with the Client Solutions Team.
- Build relationships with Gallagher insurers' Claims Management Teams and adjusters.
- Establish partnerships with key service providers, including restoration companies and law firms.
- Maintain and update client files using Broker Management Systems.
- Communicate with adjusters and insured parties regarding open claims.
- Facilitate negotiations between insured parties and insurance carriers during settlements.
- Participate in educational activities to enhance product knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications:
- RIBO license or the ability to obtain one upon starting the role is required.
- Experience in Claims Adjusting or as a Commercial Broker with Claims Advocacy is essential.
- Knowledge of non-profit, program, or manufacturing claims is advantageous.
- Experience in team management or leadership is a plus.
- CAIB, CIP, or CRM designations are beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities are required.
- High attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
- Experience with Broker Management or electronic filing software is a plus.
