Job Title: Head of Claims Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Claims Operations to join our team at Claims Recruitment Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the oversight and operational performance of the Claims Team, including design and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Team Management: Oversee the Claims Team's operational performance, including the design and implementation of SLAs and KPIs, and ensure the team is working efficiently to meet business objectives.
  • Line Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the Claims Operations team, including recommendations for process improvements and the development of enhanced standards across the wider claims function.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Deliver executive-level reporting and analytics to senior committees, providing insights to support top-line and bottom-line performance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the company at monthly and quarterly committees, including acting as project sponsor on key claims business change initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Lead the strategic review and improvement of claims management processes to deliver appropriate customer outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee outsourced service providers, including third-party experts and delegated authorities, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • First-Line Requirements: Manage all first-line claims requirements, including SOX, Lloyd's, FCA/PRA/internal/external regulatory, and control environment.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a Claims Operations leadership role within the Lloyd's Market.
  • Operational Skills: Strong operational skills, including business process and systems expertise.
  • Change Management: Strong change management skills, including experience as a project sponsor or Claims SME.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, including senior management.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen, with the ability to handle large and complex issues/data.
