Head of Claims Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Claims Operations to join our team at Bell & Clements. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our claims operational framework, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to ensure consistent and diligent claims operational control framework.
- Partner with claims leadership teams to deliver tangible benefits to claims operations.
- Proactively identify opportunities for operational improvement and champion solutions to ensure benefit realization.
- Develop and manage internal reporting frameworks to support the Head of Claims in prioritizing tasks and initiatives.
- Lead the execution and oversight of integration projects and strategic initiatives, including technology integrations.
- Oversee the B&C Outlier quarterly maintenance process and reported financials to internal management and legal governing entities.
- Assist MRSI and B&C CAT assessment teams for early indications post-CAT event, using reporting and technology, where available.
- Work with Analytics to feed automated data from technology for early CAT reporting.
- Collaborate with MRSI and GSI Claims Transformation teams to identify and implement opportunities to enhance internal B&C and broader group claims processes and workflows.
- Claims operational performance expertise in primary insurance and across several lines of business.
- Experience dealing with US and UK-related legal and regulatory systems.
- Good contacts with lawyers and other external claims service providers; network within Munich Re claims community desirable.
- Affinity and first understanding of claims IT systems; knowledge of international market claims systems.
- Very good command of English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
- Strong organizational and presentational skills.
- Permanent position with annual salary dependent on skills and experience.
- Annual leave - 25 days per year (plus bank holidays), increases with length of service.
