Role Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the premises, executing minor projects within the site, and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations for effective site operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, clean, and hygienic environment that meets the needs of the individuals in our care.
  • Provide high standards of documentation and reporting related to site operations.
  • Conduct regular audits of quality systems as required.
  • Perform inspections and manage contractor work that does not meet established standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant national regulations and inspection standards applicable to this type of establishment.
  • Manage maintenance workloads effectively to ensure proactive service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects and seek assistance with technical matters related to repairs and improvements.
  • Identify and propose projects that enhance the facility's image, functionality, and operational efficiency for staff, students, and visitors.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on schedule and that areas occupied by contractors are left in excellent condition.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the grounds.
